"Why We Believe Jesus Is The Christ, The Son Of God"

Many people do not believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. If He is not the Christ, then our faith is of no value. If He is the Son of God, we must obey Him to go to heaven (Matthew 7:21-23).

Jesus is a real person. He lived on this earth about 2,000 years ago. Not everybody believes He is the Son of God. Some say, "He was a good man, and a great Teacher, but He was not the Son of God." This is impossible. Either He is the Son of God, or He was the biggest liar in the world. He said He was the Son of God.

"How to Find The Church Jesus Built"

In the United States of America there are more than 2,000 different churches. Most of these churches claim to be the church Jesus established, or at least one of the "branches" of the church. We have already studied that Jesus came to the earth to build His church. He only built one church. He did not build hundreds or thousands of churches. If Jesus only built one church, why are there so many different churches?

"Our Standard of Authority in Religion"

To be able to agree in religion, we must have the same rules to follow. If we follow different rules, we will never be able to be united. We will first discuss what is not our standard of authority. It is not our opinions. "There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death" (Proverbs 14:12). If our opinions were the standard of authority in religion, there would be more than five billion standards of authority in this world.

"What is the Church of Christ ?"

The church of Christ is not a denomination founded by man nor a part of any religious organization founded by man. It originated in Heaven in the mind of God and was set up on earth in the city of Jerusalem on the first Pentecost following the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Lord (Ephesians 3:8-11; Acts 2). Instead of working with denominations, members of the church of Christ plead all believers in Jesus Christ heed His prayer for unity and become one in His blood-bought body, the church.

"The Organization of the Church of Christ"
The church is a kingdom over which Christ rules as King (1 Timothy 6:15; John 18:37; John 19:19). Christians are citizens in this kingdom (Colossians 1:13; Hebrews 12:28; Revelation 1:9). The world is the territory of this kingdom (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8). The new birth is the way we enter this kingdom.

"What Must I Do To Be Saved?"

The Bible teaches that sin is a transgression of God's law (1 John 3:4). All people who know the difference between right and wrong have sinned (Romans 3:23). Our sins separate us from God (Isaiah 59:1,2). The punishment for sin is death (Romans 6:23). This is "the second death" which is "the lake of fire" (Revelation 21:8).

"Counting the Cost"

Every person needs to know that becoming a Christian means entering the Lord's church, not a denomination; and that becoming a Christian carries with it much responsibility. We know that a person who becomes a Christian and then falls away is worse off than one who never knew the truth.

"Living The Christian Life"

After we become a Christian, we are a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We are in Christ and have access to all spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3).
We have a change of mind and a change of life (Colossians 3:1-17).
